WHAT has the CREW been up to?

Scott’s Creature

Scott’s lifelong fascination with the “Creature from the Black Lagoon” came full circle in 2019, when he built this kit and spent time chatting with the great Rico Browning, the man who played the Gill Man in all of the underwater scenes.

Dave’s Creature

Dave has been building a model kit of the classic Frankentein’s monster. With epoxy putty, he added rips and tears in the clothing as well as re-sculpting part of the base.

“Deep Red” and Goblin

In October of 2019, the crew caught a showing of the Dario Argento film, “Deep Red”, and the live soundtrack performance of Claudio Simonetti and band at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, MN. In 1976, Simonetti, as part of the Italian progressive rock band Goblin, had created the original soundtrack. We are big fans of both Argento and Goblin, so this was an awesome event!

Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl

In late August of 2019, the crew attended Creature Feature, in Gettysburg, PA, and were able to spend quite some time talking with Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Mail Girl. We gave them each one of our T-shirts. Can you tell we fell in love with both of them?

Bruce Campbell!

In late autumn, Dave, Scott and . . . a version of Mary travelled to Milwaukee to catch a showing of Evil Dead 2, followed by a truly entertaining hour and a half of Bruce Campbell, telling stories and making us howl. Long Live the King!
